Asus Padfone S WW to TW Conversion

Well, many asus padfone s user especially ww user is very frustrate to asus not giving a WW update despite there already have a TW update going live in asus official website for several months now. I as a asus padfone s user have convert my WW padfone to TW padfone, and i gonna share in here the step i use to do the conversion.

I will try to write full how to flash to stock ASUS firmware. Be aware, this is for flashing to stock TW firmware only!! as i only found stock TW recovery share by Taiwan Zentalk.

The step is very straight forward, all is gonna need a ADB tools to do the flashing. Download all the necessary files and tools i listed below:

After all the necessary file and tool has been downloaded, it is now time to do the conversion.

1. Shut down your phone and hold Volume Up + Power Button to enter fastboot (fastboot in padfone is screen stuck with ASUS logo)
2. Plug in your USB cable, and you need to install fastboot driver using the driver download earlier by using manual method (google if not know)
3. Install adb and copy the TW recovery downloaded earlier into the adb folder 
4. Open CMD with this method: 
- Win 7: Run CMD, cd until adb folder (google if not know)
- Win 8 and above: in the adb folder, Press Shift + Right Click on mouse and click open cmd command here
5. With phone connected to computer in fastboot mode, run this command in cmd:
- fastboot flash recovery < TW recovery file name, include .img>
- this will flash TW recovery into phone, and overwrite the WW recovery
6. Unplug usb cable, force shut down phone by holding power button for several second until screen turn off.
7. Copy the downloaded firmware into SDcard and insert into phone.
8. Boot into recovery by pressing Volume Down + Power button, there will be 2 option to choose from, select boot into recovery
- You will enter into TW recovery 11.10.7.17, if the recovery not showing TW 11.10.7.17, you will need to do step 4-6 above.
9. Go and install the latest marshmallow firmware you downloaded and copy into the SDCard earlier.
10. Perform a factory reset upon completing the flash.
11. Now select reboot. The first boot take about 15-20 minutes, so do not panic, just let the update run. After the phone boot, you will have new TW firmware and recovery installed.

That all the necessary step needed to flash back to stock. if someone have WW recovery please share.

I do not have any picture to show here, cause i have done the conversion in the early release of the TW firmware. This marshmallow is better compare to Lollipop. Very recommended to those that have padfone s ww version to just convert to tw version. I have use tw version for several months and i also done a few conversion of my friend padfone, non of them is having any problem till now.
